Winners

The Australian Baptist Basketball Championships have been running now for over 30 Years. It is held once a year and rotates between the southern states of Australia and involves the representative teams from the Baptist Churches in each state. Teams are entered from these southern states and a tournament is played over a one week period. Apart from the basketball there are many activities held which involve all the states getting together. One of these is the devotional time each day which the guest speaker will be Steve O'Brien. Steve returns to us from the Philippines where he works as a missionary for World Harvest Ministries where he organises and runs basketball outreach tours and a Church building program. The tournament has an amazing atmosphere all week long as friendships are built with people within our own state and other states. The gospel and way of life of Jesus is presented in a non confronting way to all those present to learn more about the joy of God's leading in our lives.
