Why we are going to Central Australia.

One of the important aspects of Syndal Baptist Church is giving support to people who step out into the mission field to serve God in different parts of Australia and also in different parts of the world. One of those families that the church supports is the Jordan family in Yuendumu, which is in Central Australia. They have been working with the Aboriginal people there for over 20 years.

Our aim for the trip to Central Australia is to see the work the Jordan’s are doing, have the opportunity to meet, talk and relate to the Aboriginal people and to experience a culture many of us have not yet experienced.

There will be opportunities to be involved in a children’s program, run a sports program, help with some maintenance work, run some morning services and most importantly develop relationships with the Aboriginal people.

The team is made up of men and women who feel that this is a great opportunity to be impacted in a new and exciting way. It would be great if you could take the time to pray for the trip which occurs from June 29^th till July 7^th 2002 and if you want further updates please keep checking out this mission trip website especially over the week of the trip when there will be daily updates.
